Glow Face Facial
A seven-step, doctor-led facial that cares for the skin from cleansing to a finishing mask, to leave it hydrated, fresh and glowing.
Glow Face explained
Glow Face is a facial that cares for your skin in seven steps in a row: deep cleansing, oxygen, serum infusion using three different methods (warm, electrical current and cold), light therapy, and a finishing treatment mask. Before we begin, the doctor checks your skin type and the products you currently use, and confirms the treatment suits you. One session usually takes about 60 to 90 minutes.

Who it suits
01
Tired, dull-looking skin
02
Congested pores or rough skin texture
03
Anyone who wants regular, doctor-guided skin care
Please tell the doctor before treatment if you have a skin infection, open wounds, sunburn or an active cold sore; a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device (because a mild electrical current is used); metal implants in the face; are pregnant or breastfeeding; use medicines that make skin more sensitive to light (isotretinoin or some antibiotics); or have allergies to skincare ingredients.
What to expect
1
Deep cleansing
Dirt and oil are cleansed from deep within the skin to prepare it for the next steps.
2
Oxygen infusion
Oxygen is applied to help the skin look fresher.
3
Warm serum infusion
A warming technique helps serum to be absorbed into the skin.
4
Electrophoresis serum infusion
A mild electrical current (electrophoresis) helps serum to be absorbed more effectively.
5
Cold (cryo) serum infusion
A cooling technique is used to apply serum and soothe the skin.
6
Light therapy
Light (phototherapy) is used to care for the skin.
7
Treatment mask
A mask finishes the treatment, and you receive advice on sun protection and aftercare.
Results and recovery
Results
Many people feel their skin looks fresher, smoother and more hydrated right after the facial. The effect is temporary and depends on your skin condition, daily skin care and sun exposure. For better results the doctor may suggest repeating the treatment regularly over time. Results cannot be guaranteed.
Recovery and side effects
Most people return to normal activities straight away. Your skin may be slightly red or feel tight for about the first 24 hours. During that time, avoid strong sun and strong skin products (such as acids or retinol), and apply sunscreen.
Possible side effects
In most people, side effects are mild and temporary.
- Redness, warmth, tightness or dryness of the skin
- A tingling or mild stinging feeling during the electrical step, and a cold feeling during the cooling step
- Skin sensitivity, itching, or a few small pimples in the days after treatment
- Rarely, an allergic reaction, a skin burn or infection may occur. Contact us straight away if you have severe pain, blisters, pus or fever. If you have difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or throat, or a severe widespread rash, go to a hospital straight away.
Results vary from person to person.

Frequently asked questions
Does it hurt?
Most people find it comfortable and relaxing. You may feel tingling during the electrical step and a cool feeling during the cooling step. Tell us straight away if anything is uncomfortable.
How long do all seven steps take?
Usually about 60 to 90 minutes. It can vary a little with your skin.
Do I need to stay home afterwards?
Usually not. You can carry on with your day, but your skin may look slightly red, so it is best to have the facial a few days before an important event.
How often can I have it?
It depends on your skin. Many people repeat it about every 4 weeks. The doctor will advise what suits you.
Can I wear make-up afterwards?
Skin recovers best if you skip make-up for about the first 24 hours. Please follow the doctor's aftercare advice.
Who should avoid it?
Please speak to the doctor first if you have a skin infection, wounds or sunburn, a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, or are pregnant or breastfeeding.
