Nose Thread Lifting
A non-surgical treatment that uses absorbable threads to subtly lift and define the nose bridge and tip.
Nose Thread Lifting explained
Nose Thread Lifting places absorbable threads in the nose to give the bridge slightly more height and to lift the tip. It does not produce the dramatic change of surgical rhinoplasty and cannot make the nose smaller. A session usually takes about 30 minutes under local anaesthetic. The nose has many blood vessels, so this treatment needs particular care.

Results and recovery
Results
You can see a subtle change straight away, and the result settles once swelling goes down. As the threads dissolve, the effect gradually fades; it typically lasts about 6 months to a year. This varies between people, and results cannot be guaranteed.
Recovery and side effects
Swelling, bruising and soreness are common for the first few days up to a week. Do not press or rub your nose, blow it hard or sleep face-down, and avoid strenuous exercise for 1 to 2 weeks. Wear glasses only as the doctor advises.
Possible side effects
Most side effects are temporary and settle within days to a few weeks.
- Swelling, bruising and tenderness
- Slight asymmetry of the bridge or tip
- Threads that can be felt or seen through the skin
- Rarely, infection, a thread coming through the skin or skin colour changes. If you have severe pain, pale or purple skin, a fever or pus, contact the clinic immediately.
Results vary from person to person.

Frequently asked questions
How is it different from rhinoplasty?
Nose Thread Lifting involves no surgery, so recovery is shorter, but the change is subtle and temporary. If you want a bigger change, discuss it with the doctor.
How long does it last?
Typically about 6 months to a year, fading gradually as the threads dissolve. It varies between people.
Does it hurt?
Local anaesthetic is used, so most people feel only mild discomfort during treatment. Some soreness for a few days afterwards is common.
When can I return to work?
Most people can return to work within a few days. Swelling or bruising may be visible, so plan your schedule with the doctor beforehand.
Are there side effects?
